Switch phones without Smart Switch

I have an old A01 that doesn't have enough storage to install Smart Switch without deleting critical apps. Keeping the apps & data is the point of switching. Is there a way to move everything without it?

You can archive apps that will keep your settings, just to make enough room for smart switch.

You can't do it without smart switch.

Where would I find the archive function?

Long press on the app you would like to archive until you see the pop-up, go tap on the i (info) it will be on the bottom next to open. The icon will still be there greyed out

I only get "Open", "Uninstall", and "Force stop".

I guess they don't allow for it on budget phones. Which in my opinion is awful, budget phones need this feature more than flagship phones.

You can download your backup to a new phone, but the backup does not contain all your personal files. You will get your apps, settings and photos back, though. You can attach a flash drive and move your personal files via the file manager.
