Stuck in google verification mode!!!!

My phone had been working with rcs messaging then I got a message saying Google had to verify my number. After checking my number is displayed as verified and the message still says trying to set up and verify. Stuck in status check mode... what do I do? Model a15 all updates are up to date... ???????? Help

Are you using Google Messages? That's an odd message to get if you already had RCS set up and active.  It is not Google who would verify your number, but your carrier.  Sounds like a bogus message.  Uninstall Google Messages and reinstall it and set it up again.

Trying to turn on rcs but my settings option says my number is attempting set up and Google is attempting to verify.  

My number has already been verified butim unable to use the rcs options for active typing and read and send receipt???* help

went into my general Google account settings, clicked personal info, then clicked my phone number. I saw that my device toggle was off for auto-verifying, so I toggled it on and the pending message went away below it after a few refreshes. 


Then I went back into Google messages and toggled chat features off and on, and it went from verifying, to connecting, to connected in 30 seconds.
