I have a short story to tell you, gather round ....
So, I have this Samsung Galaxy Device , ...
Bought it 5 years ago, it's for non essential tasks...
And , after 200 drops with the armor I bought for it , and approximately 50 more drops since the armor wore out , (amazingly the screen , while cracked in many places , still works fine )
The power button seems to have finally given out, doing nothing when pressed , no matter how hard.
As you might imagine , quite saddened , I said to myself
"This is it. Time to put it in the service pile of devices I need to fix" , but then , I remembered a feature built in to this device.
Settings ,
Advanced ,
Motions and gestures ,
Double tap for screen on and off !!
Hooray!
And just like that, now I can continue to use the device , making it a device worth every penny I paid 5 years ago!!
God bless these Clever Koreans and their willingness to make tough devices that withstand the test of time!
Even in these times of planned obsolescence, Samsung has the integrity to make devices that last, and they have done so for years !
