A Series & Other MobileFor me it was two apps..specifically Truecaller, which I dumped (although I loved it) and Whatsapp (couldn't dump this unfortunately) whose backup scheduling literally fked up the running of my phone. Using Whoscall instead of Truecaller now which doesn't come close but what to do! As for schcheduling whatsapp I switched it 'off' and do it manually, hardly ideal but again what to do!!
Also, turned on 'developer options' and switched off the 'Window Scale & Transition Scale' animations while leaving Animation Scale to .05x. Hardly ideal and I would have loved to leave all these apps at their default but as my A16 5G was stuttering so bad I had to just go and do it. Still not running 100% smooth but much better to be honest.
Came about this solution by chance one day when I accidently uninstalled Truecaller. But the Whatsapp thing sortof just clicked in my mind. Also as an experiment I switched off the internet completely and the phone ran buttery smooth (but who the f would do that right!!) Never had this problem on my Redmi phones though, so I guess there's some software optimization problem going on here.
If you aint running Truecaller it could be some other internet hogging app which is screwing up the functioning of the OS.
