Nevertheless the cameras on all A'series phones are the same. But WHY Samsung is making so bad photo processing i don't know, and just the S series have better processing. Why Samsung doesn't make the software for camera processing the same for all A series, or maybe some update for the camera processing... Of course the photos will never be as good as the S series because the sensors are better than A series. But if you make the processing better for all A series phones everyone wins. Why my Samsung A36 is with lower selfie camera processing than the A16, which is cheaper phone? Why my photos should be uglier than the cheaper phones? Why Camera 2API is locked for other camera apps options that have better photo processing? Are there will be some updates for the camera processing in future? So many questions without answers? This is not client friendly by Samsung....

Are all A series cameras the same? My A54 takes excellent photos and I don't have a single complaint about the quality of the camera or the processing of the images.  This photo, for instance, was shot through a screen behind glass.  Do you see the glass or the screen?  No editing was done to the photo.

If this photo is good what should i say... That big sensors (50MP main camera and 12 MP wide) the photos should look wayyy better.  But they are so grainy (noise), at low ligh (night mode) zero details, also at day zero details.... They need to optimise the photo processing, because it's miserable...

I don't see any graininess in any of my photos day or night.  I shoot mostly with the 12 MP lens so I can zoom. I don't need the enormous photo size that 50 MP creates. If you are a professional photographer, either shoot in pro mode or buy a real camera.    Where's the grain in this one?  Perhaps it's the photographer, not the processing.

No grain is visible because the photo was shot in bright daylight. Grain is most noticeable in low light photos because the sensitivity has to be boosted to capture the image. Zooming in makes it even worse, especially digital zoom. Perhaps OP is taking indoor or evening photos and zooming in too much.

My other photo was taken at dawn. Low light onside and out, no flash with a window and screen between the scenery. I detectt no grain - can't even see the screen. I have outdoor night shots, ad well with no graininess.

All photos are going to have some increased grain in low light conditions. There's only so much that can be done to reduce it. Avoid zooming in a lot, especially digital zoom. That will enlarge the grain and make it worse.

Use Google photos for editing. Download Snap Seed, pretty good editing features, its free.

@Samsung I am extremely disappointed. After your recent update, my front camera is ruined. It makes my skin look 20+ years older, changes my face shape and eyes, and produces ugly, unnatural results — even with “beautify” turned OFF.

This isn’t a settings issue — my camera worked perfectly before. Now it’s embarrassing to use and it ruined my first date in years because every photo came out distorted and unappealing.

I spent hours on Samsung chat and was told to report it through Samsung Members, but nothing has been fixed. This is unacceptable. I deserve the camera quality I originally purchased, not a broken, artificial filter.

Samsung, please acknowledge this issue and provide a real solution or rollback. Until then, I’ll be warning others how badly you’ve damaged your camera software with updates.
