If you have a computer, download Smart Switch for computer and connect your phone.  You can try to force an update that way.  The only way to get an update through Smart Switch is through the computer version.  If you have no computer, or Smart Switch still finds no update for you, another option would be to factory reset your phone and restore your backup.

Was your phone initially carrier locked and then you switched carriers? The updates come through the carrier, and if you have a device with different carrier firmware than your current carrier, you will have to obtain a working or non-working SIM from the original carrier to try to force an update that way.  After than updates should come to you on the normal schedule.

I was with cricket until I got sick of them, so I went to ATT. So this phone is from them, so it pretty much brand new.

Just so I understand, you switched from Cricket to AT&T and bought an AT&T phone when you switched, so your phone and SIM are from the same carrier?  We are in July of 2025 and your last update was January 2024, how is the phone brand new? If this is the case, your three choices are 1) clear the phone cache per the instructions below - especially important if you never cleared the cache before; 2) Use Smart Switch on a connected computer to try to force the update; 3) factory reset after making sure you have a current backup.

How to clear cache through Recovery Mode:

1. Power off your phone. Hold Power and vol up buttons until Samsung Logo appears

2. Let go of both buttons when you see the Samsung Logo appear on screen. There will be a delay while it enters recovery mode.

3. Use the volume buttons to navigate through recovery menu options and highlight โ€œWipe Cache Partition.โ€ Press power button to select this option . Confirm by navigating to the yes response and tapping the power button to select.

5. When wiping cache partition is complete, "reboot system now" should be highlighted; press power key to select it . The phone will reboot as normal.
