Need help changing contact information on someone

So this is how my ex pops up in my messages, I've changed it in my contacts but i want to get rid of the heart, can someone explain how to do this please. I have a samsing galaxy A53 5g

Worked fine on mine bottom favorite on than off not sure what's happening with yours dont need to edit or delete anything not sure what to suggest

Is it listed like that in a nickname field in the contacts app?

Have you checked contact storage locations? If you have already changed the contact on-device, it may still be pulling the info from somewhere else. Try unlinking from other storage locations if there are any.

Just edit the contact and edit the name.

Did that already. Still pops up like that in my messages only

You have to delete the chat thread, then the correction will take place. Which message app? In Google you can rename the chat or in a single person chat, edit the contact.
