Members site fails to "Sign in with Galaxy device"

When browsing Samsung Community content using my DuckDuckGo browser, I may want to "like" an existing comment or add a new comment. When I try to do so, I get a pop-up that invites me to "Sign in with Galaxy device". Upon selecting this option, I get another screen saying "The Samsung account app needs an update" and displaying a link saying "Update the Samsung account app to sign in with a Galaxy device". Upon clicking this link, nothing happens. The "Try Again" button also does nothing. When I visit the Galaxy Store to update the app, I see that the app has no pending updates.

I acknowledged it in the first my first reply and stated that its just easier to use the sign in with account info since this has been happing.  And since this is only a USER to USER Support Community only the Moderators and Admin work for Samsung.  I suggest clicking on the support tab at the bottom of the Members app and submit a Error report

I see this sometimes I opt to just use the Sign in with your account ID instead its never fails.

That's nice. It would be even nicer if Samsung would fix this bug, especially since I intentionally make it very cumbersome to access my account credentials.

I don't see how its cumbersome to access your account credentials since one use your phone and the other option uses your username and password it takes you to the same place

My presumption (I must presume since this feature doesn't work) has been that the option to use my phone would automatically credential me without my needing to look up my credentials, since my phone has a "Members" app that is always logged in. If both options go to a screen requiring me to enter credentials manually, what is the point of the "phone" option?

The Sign in with device will sign straight in but Sign in with Account ID requires the username and password which is normally saved

The fact that you deliberately thwart your own efforts to log in by making it cumbersome is not Samsung's fault.  It's also part of the security of the DDG browser.  Just log in with your credentials, use a different browser, or open the Members app directly to make your comments and likes.

I find it absolutely maddening that people on these boards who seem to represent Samsung increasingly refuse to acknowledge the existence of what are obviously bugs, implying that there is something wrong with people who expect them to be fixed.

A) I don't represent or work for Samsung. B) I have common sense. C) *You* are the one who indicated that you made it "deliberately cumbersome" to log into your account. D) You are using Duck Duck Go which usually prevents this type of login.  

Just use your credentials.  It is not a bug, it's *you*.  If you think it's a bug, put in a proper error report.  This is a peer-to-peer user help forum, not official Samsung support.
