This post is meant for Samsung the company not community but I have contacted support via email & phone but no help was provided. I am a Type1 Diabetic who relies heavily on her sensor & cell phone for blood sugar readings. I am on a tight budget due to being my sweet motherโ€™s caretaker for she has dementia. Hence the reason I chose the A16. This phone has been, honestly, terrible. The lag issues are a huge problem with my CGM sensor, continuous glucose monitor. This morning I could not get a reading from 9am-12pm. That was only until I came to with convulsions from a severe low. My CGM is set to alarm me if my sugar drops below 55/60. When I was finally able to check my sugar via my old monitor, it was 38. That is way too low and dangerous! When I spoke with support the only options were factory reset(I can not do b/c I will lose data that my doctor needs) or go to a store which is 5 hrs away. I asked support if I could return the A16 with original box & receipt and was told no. The support agent then asked me to download the Samsung Care app. I let her know I would but it would take time due to lag issues. She said ok but we were disconnected possibly because of her wait time. This will sound dramatic but itโ€™s not. My livelihood is at stake, please help Samsung.image.jpg

Have you cleared the phone's cache partition? It's a loss free alternative to a complete reset. Surely the data from your CGM app is stored in the manufacturers cloud or is downloadable so it can be recovered in the event of a device disaster. Sometimes the only way is a complete factory reset. You can make a complete backup of your device using smart switch and a USB drive should you have to do a reset. Clear the cache partition first and see if that works.

It also sounds as if the reporting delay may be between the devices by way of the connection. You can try resetting the network settings.

I clear the cache maybe every two days and turn the phone completely off and restart once a day. I have deleted all my old emails and have very few pics stored on my phone. The CGM I use isnโ€™t perfect but the lag issues with the A16 have made it even harder to manage my health. Thank you for your suggestions. I am not trying to get anything for free I just need a smart phone that will be reliable.
