Is there a way to remove the cassette tape looking icon that records phone calls? It's put in a place that constantly gets hit just by holding the phone to your face! I hate this thing! Any idea how to remove it? I have a Straight Talk A 14 5G prepaid android.

Since Meteo PCS has done a upgrading in the system, my new and old phone have a recording message while I'm on the phone. I've tried to turn it off yet it doesn't have an area in my phone to do this.I need help. I never asked for this feature, didn't know it was there until I heard it speaking call was being recorded while I was on the phone.๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

Recently the record a call feature automatically initiated during a call. It was very embarrassing trying to explain it to the person on the phone the feature automatically started recording. I've reviewed the settings for the possibility of the feature being enabled which it is not. This has occurred twice. I use Google phone app and made sure the version was updated. Anyone else experiencing the same issues?

Google phone does not have the recording feature except on Pixel phones and certain other Android brands which use it as their native dialer, so how it's getting activated is a mystery. Also on phones where the Google phone app *does* have the recording feature, that would be a Google issue, not a Samsung one. Samsung is responsible for their own dialer app and features, Google is responsible for theirs.
