A Series & Other MobileGood afternoon. I am using the Samsung Messaging app. I have always had my messages sent to show if delivered and the bubble on my messages was blue. Then it would show 'read' once the messages have been looked at. Now every message I send shows as green with no text. For instance I was talking with my Aunt on March 6th, and everything was showing blue and read with the time stamp. A few days later they started going green for everyone. I looked into clearing cache, chat settings, etc. with no success. Any help would be appreciated as I have no idea what happened. I am including a screenshot from my phone to show as an example.

A Series & Other MobileThanks for responding. I believe you are correct, as when I hold down on one of the bubbles under details the blue ones list as 'chat' and the green list as 'text.' I go into settings on the app, click 'chat settings' and enable chat features. But I don't see any settings to change to RCS. Under 'chat settings' it also has 'default message type'. I choose chat but it still comes out text. I also don't know what happened as this started without me making any changes.

A Series & Other MobileIf you want RCS support, including read and delivery receipts, you will have to switch to Google Messages.

A Series & Other MobileRCS was always on before so I don't know why it the messages changed. It worked that way since the day I got the phone and only stopped working a couple of weeks ago. The only thing I don't like about Google messages is it doesn't say 'delivered' or 'read.' It has a check mark, which I believe means delivered, and then another when it's read. Like I just tried texting myself and while it comes over it is alternating between MMS and text, but no chat with Samsung app. I wanted to see if there was a setting in Google to change the check mark but I don't see it.

A Series & Other MobileI am going to have to switch whether I like it or not. Last night texts I was sending and again this morning started turning blue again. But it is unreliable and might as well change to Google and start getting used to it.
