A Series & Other MobileGot a brand new A36 yesterday. I registered fingerprints for unlocking the phone and tried to register my face. I repeatedly get the message "Unable to register face". The only suggestion given is to make sure the camera lens is clean, but it's spotless and I still have no luck. Any and all suggestions welcomed.
Yes, I did search Google on this issue but didn't get any good advice. Thanks.

A Series & Other MobileMake sure you are in a well lit area when you register your face. Since the face recognition on these phones do not have an infrared camera, even if you do manage to register your face, it may not work properly to unlock if you are not always in a well-lit area. You are better off with fingerprint and pin/password unlocking (always have a backup unlock method).

A Series & Other MobileThanks-- I'll try again in a couple of better lit locations.
I do have fingerprint recognition set up and a pin so opening the phone is not at issue. However, it's a pain to have to use either of those on the multitude of times I open my phone. If I could just pick up the phone and look at it to have it open, I'd be happy!
Ooh-- I just remembered Trusted Places and added my home. That ought to take care of the problem a lot of the time.

A Series & Other MobileExtend unlock still requires the phone to be unlocked initially and periodically. The phone stays unlocked for a maximum of 4 hours in the trusted place, but will lock after a missed call or notification and you will have to use one of your unlock methods to unlock it. After 72 hours, you are required to unlock only by your pin/password, unless you didn't set one, then you would have to use your primary unlock method.
