Apps acting weird, gestures not working, just had a software update, battery draining, or some other phone hiccups.
Have you tried clearing your phone's cache partition?
What's that? I'm a nutshell, it's various sections of memory that the phone stores different temporary information in effort to make things run more smoothly and quickly.
How do I clear it?
You can clear the cache partition from the bootloader/recovery menu.
Clear cache partition:

Turn phone off.
Hold Power + Volume Up until the boot menu comes up.
Select Wipe Cache Partition.
press the Power key to start and restart phone once done.
You will not lose anything, take your time and read before selecting your actions.
That may fix many issues you may experience in general.
