Translucent lock screen buttons

Can we please get translucent icons on the lockscreen for 3rd party apps? I don't know if an API needs to be released for it. But I believe that it would align better with the overall esthetic of the UI. Can we also have the buttons respond to a simple push and hold instead of swipe. If doesn't fit the design language anymore.
