Before I start, I just wanna mention that I've made two posts about this so far and this will be my last. I just really want it to be implemented. Iād like to suggest an enhancement for the Adaptive Power Saving feature in One UI 7.0. Currently, it only toggles power saving on or off based on the battery level and applies the default power-saving settings. However, I believe it could be made much more dynamic and truly adaptive by adjusting settings based on usage patterns, charging habits, and the current activity.
For example:
When gaming: It could keep performance high by maintaining the CPU at full speed and the refresh rate at adaptive, but also save power by turning on dark mode and minimizing background processes.
When the battery is low and a charger might not be available: It could automatically switch to a standard refresh rate, lower the CPU performance, and adjust other power-hungry settings to extend battery life as much as possible.
When charging: If the device detects it's plugged in, it could prioritize performance, especially if it's in a high-power usage situation, without worrying too much about saving power.
Why this would be great:
True adaptability: Adjusts settings based on what youāre doing, providing a better balance between performance and power consumption.
Smarter power management: More personalized and efficient than a simple on/off toggle, extending battery life when necessary without sacrificing user experience.
Saves time and effort: Users wonāt need to manually adjust settings based on their situation; the phone would handle it automatically.
This would make Adaptive Power Saving much more in line with the āadaptiveā part of its name and offer a more seamless experience for users.
