DiscussionsWhy do devs keep removing or forgetting about features with updates??
It sickens me, that on my S10e (One UI 4.1) I can change all icons in good lock, including the "all apps" icon, and now on my S24 (One UI 6.1) I can change every icon, except the "all apps" icon.
Even worse, they obviously completely forgot about that "app" because if you change the shape of your apps, it will change every app except the app drawer...
So, I now have to live with the ugly, discusting looking greyish icon, which has a different shape than every other app on the home screen. Congrats!
And, since it's a feature, which surely isn't in the way or causes any problems, it's solely because the good lock devs failed to think of it.
Why do they (and also Samsung) keep trying to invent the wheel all over again with every new version of One UI, getting rid of good features or changing them to the worse, instead of just building up on the good old features?
It's the same with pop up / heads up notifications. It used to be possible to globally disable them (forever) with adb, which is good, since, well, there are people who just don't want them. But now, I need to go through every single app on my phone and disable it manually, which takes me hours!!
Jesus, how about thinking for every user in the future and not just implementing/removing things solely based on your vision of a phone.

DiscussionsThank you for your detailed feedback.
We hear your concerns, and we understand the frustration when previously available customization options ā like editing the "All apps" icon or globally disabling heads-up notifications ā appear to be removed or changed in newer versions of One UI or Good Lock (Kudos to CEParsons recommendation). Your point about feature consistency across One UI versions and device generations is especially noted.
Weāll share your suggestions with the Good Lock and One UI development teams, particularly around:
Restoring full icon customization, including the "All apps" icon
Improving consistency with shape and design across app elements
Exploring global toggles for heads-up notifications to save time and effort for users who prefer a different notification experience
Your insights help us build a better user experience. Thanks again for your honest and passionate feedback.
Regards,
One UI Beta Team
