What is a "stable" update, anyway?

Can software ever truly be considered "stable" when it's constantly evolving? 

That said, OneUI7 has been remarkably "stable" since Beta 3, with no major hiccups to speak of. In fact, the Galaxy S24 Ultra on Beta 6 feels like a more refined version than what the S25 Ultra is currently running!

Honestly, it's been awesome getting to try out the beta and see all the new features early. 

I have enjoyed being a part of this community and sharing ideas and yes, even some frustrations on ocassion. 

Totally get how tough the wait must be for those on OneUI6—it’s been a long time coming. Fingers crossed, the update will land soon--depending upon region and phone carrier.

It's been very smooth on beta 6 for me too, except for the GPS bug. Which is super easy to fix, if needed that is. Battery life very good, notifications, RCS it all works really good now. I'd say it's "stable" for everyday use. ✌🏻👊🏻

It's my understanding that the stable build for the S25 series is essentially identical to Beta 3.

This particular update cycle has been unique in that Samsung doesn't seem to have been fully ready to release One UI 7 with the S25 series and has continued development (even adding features such as live notifications) both behind the scenes and publicly in the betas for older devices.

Based on the rumor mill (take it or leave it,) it seems that Samsung is now setting their sights on One UI 8, probably in hopes of a more timely release schedule and a chance to flesh out the inconsistencies that exist (and will likely remain) in One UI 7.

Other than a couple of versions (and this being one of the longest running betas in history at over 5 months), it's been a fun ride. I'll see all you fellow suckers for punishment later this year for the One UI 8 Android 16 beta!
