With the beta, I'm finding 2 things i'm unhappy about with dex.
1. Dex no longer auto-starts when I plug my usb-c cable into my usb-c monitor, if the phone (s24 ultra) is currently locked. It used to work this way before, and I could actually use my touchscreen monitor to unlock. I reported this as a defect.
2. Does anyone know why they are discontinuing the Dex on PC app? This was the handiest tool when I needed to do something in Dex, and wasn't near a monitor but was near my laptop. It seems silly to remove a feature that is actually widely used.
Now if only we could talk microsoft into updating their android apps for office to support dex properly and give you a full office experience like you get from the Windows apps...... But I know samsung can't fix that.
On #1 above i found it is due to a new security setting "block USB connections while locked". Changing that allows dex to start while the phone is locked.
