Galaxy Watch

I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 after swapping from GW6.  Besides time keeping, my primary use for the watch is sleep monitoring and measuring to support my heart therapy.  When I use the sleep app it starts correctly, in accordance with its mode setup, but when I wake and stop the sleep app by tapping on the screen, I see the total time for sleep, but the rotating stars showing that the app is working, never stop.  If I go ahead and click on the "send to phone" button, the data is transferred to the phone (Samsung A32) and all the data looks proper.

I am concerned that I will not be able to start up the app the next night as long as the previous night's action is still sitting there spinning those little stars around and around.  I solved the previous night's same issue bu finally doing a reset, but the work to get everything resetup the next day is just too much.  I need to be able to shut off the sleep app or clear its cache, or whatever, though after spending over $300 I really expect a better operating system.  Not getting this fixed will result in a return of this watch before the return period runs out.

Overall I love the watch, but this one problem that affects my highest priority usage will kill this deal.  Please, if anyone has any suggestions please respond.

NOTE:  I have gone through virtually all of the published recommendations for setup parameters and have implemented all that apply.  Power saving is OFF.  Communication with Phone is setup and working.  etc. etc etc.

Thanks for your assistance.
