I think that it would be great if Samsung Galaxy owners can choose to enable bypass charging manually from the quick settings panel or choose to set it to automatically enable once the phone is charged up to 80% during the day (Bypass Charging is when the device draws power directly from the AC charger instead of going through the battery, which would minimize strain and heat generation, allowing your battery to degrade less overtime). The Pixel phones have recently added this feature, just like how some gaming phones or high end laptops do. I think this feature would be excellent for charging while:
Driving while using navigation & Android Auto
Working heavy loads all day on phone or tablet
Gaming
Link to windows/ Samsung Dex
If this feature does get implemented, I also think it would be cool and helpful if there was a custom bypass charging animation to the battery indicator and maybe the icon can temporarily turn into a symbol which represents a plug to represent that the phone is drawing power from the charger rather than the battery (Battery percentage would still be on the plug symbol to keep users informed).
