Washers and DryersI have Samsung WA50M7450AW/A4 top load washer that will throw the 5C code intermittently and stop draining. This happens after the initial wash/drain phase and happens when it goes to rinse then spin. It doesnโt happen every time, but when it does, Iโm forced to reset by unplugging for 20-30 min then attempting the rinse/spin cycle again.
Thereโs no filter on this model and Iโve verified the drain hose isnโt kinked. It doesnโt seem to be and actual clog/pump issue because it works perfect when running, but rather a logic issue.

Washers and DryersDid some more troubleshooting and pulled the drain pump for a deep cleaning. It was still functional but the actual pump motor had intermittent resistance when manually spinning that wasnโt due to the nature of electric motors. Swapped out the pump myself with a quick online order and itโs good as new. All in all, maybe an hour total work with troubleshooting and repair, and about $50 in parts. Way better than calling a service tech out or not getting proper assistance from the manufacturer.

Washers and DryersThis is what the Owners Manual says
5C - The washer does not drain.
The washer may detect a small clog while draining.
1. Restart the washer.
2. Select the Spin Only cycle.
3. Press the Start/Pause button to drain the water.
If the washer still does not drain, call customer
So I would recommend Contacting Customer Service to get this issue resolved

Washers and DryersIโve already tried those options to no avail. Samsung is unable to help me because I donโt have the receipt for the washer as it came with the house I purchased.
