Ya'll, Does anyone else have a front load washer that smells.

I don't know what else to do, So I did the self cleaning with vinegar & Baking soda, I've tried the affresh tablets, I did the bleach I've tried everything, but there is still a smell coming from my washer.

I always wipe out the drum and around the rubber after every cycle, I cleaned the dispenser tray after every cycle, like idk why it smells.  I've cleaned the filter, drained the water there, but that smell just wont go away! Idk what else to do, is anybody else having this issue or have any tips?

Leave the door open when you are finish washing. Let it air out and dry.

That's a tendency with front loaders because of the rubber gasket. Even though you clean behind it, you may not be doing it adequately. Also, the door should remain at least partially open until the gasket is completely dry, or you are inviting mold. Top loaders don't have this issue because they do not have the rubber seal. If you have enough room in your laundry space and have no toddlers or pets, leave the door open or ajar. If you have either of the above and the laundry is in a room with a door, keep the room door closed when the dryer is open.

Yeah i leave the door open after every cycle to allow for it to dry well after wiping down everything and I have wiped the gasket around the door thoroughly there's nothing there I double checked and it looks like the day I bought it. Its clean. I just don't know why it just has this mechanical smell like someone had gas and just it's lingering lol best explanation I have. Is there something else I can clean that I may not have thought of?

Because Rubber has a mechanical smell.  Besides from drying the gasket, the open door airs out the chamber and keeps the gases from the rubber from building up. This happens with EVERY front loader, regardless of brand.

You can use "spray nine". Pick it up at home depot. It kills mold. Run it through a cycle of wash. Use the whole gallon the 1st time. Then add a cup to each wash load after initial use. It will clean the washer and works like a booster after. Good luck.

I use unscented Oxyclean in each load and leave to door open when not in use.

I'm a fan of white vinegar for cleaning, but Oxyclean seems to work best for me to control the odor washers odors.
