Feature/Fixes Request: Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo

Washers and Dryers

I just bought the WD90F53AVBUS all in one vented washer/dryer, and let me say, this machine is incredible. The drum is massive and it very quickly and effectively washes and dries without me having to transfer laundry from washer to dryer or even add detergent.

That being said, I have some serious issues with the software running on the machine, issues that could easily be fixed with a software update:

1. You can't make a custom cycle. For instance, its impossible for me to run a normal was cycle with high spin paired with a dry cycle at extra low temperature. At least some options are greyed out on every cycle. I should be able to go in and create a custom cycle where I can select whatever options I want for both wash and dry.

2. The forced cooldown where the machine displays a message that says "HOT" when pausing a dry cycle is ridiculous. Just stop the drum and fan, maybe give me a warning that it is hot, then unlock the door. Dryers have been working like this forever and its fine. At least give an option to make it behave like this. But aside from the nannying being annoying, the implementation of this behavior is bad. As soon as you do anything to interrupt the cycle, you are locked into the cooldown mode until it is happy. You can't even resume the cycle without unlocking the door, the machine is totally locked out. I've experimented with it, and you can start a dry cycle, immediately try to pause it before the fan has even turned on (before anything has heated up), and it will still lock you out while doing like a 30 second "cool down". So its not even looking at a sensor necessarily.

3. This one is just a minor feature request: I'd like to have an option for the drum light to stay on until you turn it off. I think it looks nice.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has these thoughts about this wonderful machine (1 and 2 especially). Anyone else who agrees please reply for visibility.
