Purchased WF53BB8700ATUS/DVG53BB8700TA3 as a package deal directly from Samsung, pretty much sight unseen. Have owned them for over 1 year, and while the Performance of the combo are perfectly fine (for me), the design of the front panel "buttons," software and overall User Experience with these units leave me frustrated every time I use them.
- Boot-up time: In my life, I never expected to have to wait for my Washer/Dryer to "boot up" before I can begin selecting the cycle to activate!
- Sound: You get to choose between absolutely ALL sounds (including the obnoxious 'melody' that plays when the cycle is complete) or absolutely NO sound AT ALL (which creates a problem for the next item).
SUGGESTION: Perhaps you could provide an option to shorten or remove the melody that plays when the cycle is complete?
- "Buttons": There are none! Just printed symbols on a flat plastic panel, requiring precise positioning of a finger to make sure you've activated it. No physical feedback, and if you turn off the sound, no auditory feedback that your finger is in the right position. This is especially annoying for the "Play/Pause" function because there is a built in delay that requires you to hold the "button" before the washer/dryer starts.
SUGGESTION: Perhaps you could provide additional control over the sound and, when the Melody is muted, you can still provide an audible 'click' or some other sound when contact is made with the "button?"
- Options on pre-set cycles (Dryer): Wanna turn down the Temp setting on your Normal cycle so you don't cook your clothes? Nope, can't do it, you have to select another cycle type (which may or may not have the Dryness option you require.
SUGGESTION: Provide a "Sensor Manual" cycle that would provide me with complete control over Dryness and Temp?
Most everything I've mentioned above seems fixable with SOFTWARE updates!
While I don't intend to get rid of the units and buy something else, clearly 1 year+ of ownership and I'm frustrated enough to sit here and post something on the Samsung Community!!
