TabletsSo i bought a Galaxy 10+ tablet (SM-X820) and the hardback keyboard (EF-DX825) and for a week I have tried to get them to work together, the Bixby key works and I can turn the trackpad on or off but no other keys work. With the keyboard connected the on-screen keyboard is not available. Finally I have not been able to register the keyboard with Samsung. So at present a very unhappy person with an expensive piece of JUNK

TabletsOK a follow up, I had a long session with Samsung tech support where various options were explored - none successful. It was finally suggested that I try a factory reset and if that didn't work a visit to a support desk in London. I backed up my data to an SD card using Smart Switch then did a factory reset - bingo tablet & keyboard now acting correctly. Next I restored my data from the SD card and grrrr fault is back.
So another factory reset followed by a restoration of all data except Apps, this gave a modified fault, external keyboard responded after a delay, so press a key for 3/4 sec then the character appears on screen with about 8 repeats.
So another factory reset followed by a restoration of all data except user preferences, bingo tablet & keyboard now acting as expected.
What a palaver!!!! now watching my preferences very closely

Tablets@solentMike A couple of things come to mind:
- The Tab S10+ comes with very thin protective plastic on all the edges. If you haven't removed this, it could be stuck between the keyboard and tablet preventing proper operation. I noticed this after my keyboard wasn't making the satisfying loud click when I attached it to my Tab S10+.
- If the keyboard doesn't work properly, it may be defective. While you are still close to purchase you should return it for replacement.

TabletsThanks for the follow up, I had noticed the plastic stickies but they didn't cover the three pronged connector. However to be sure I removed it from the bottom side of the tablet but it didn't make any difference. I convinced myself that it must be an obscure setting somewhere as all the Function +.... keys work on the external keyboard and the trackpad when enabled is fully functional allowing the screen mouse pointer to be controlled. OK if there are no other suggestions in the next couple of days I shall return it for replacement. Shame a Samsung rep hasn't commented.
