I think there should be a feature similar to watch unlock implemented for Galaxy Watches. When your phone is near your unlocked Galaxy watch, it will also unlock the phone and vice versa. It's an offshoot of Extend Unlock, but allows either phone or watch to start the initial unlock.
Good idea but there are potential security concerns with a system such as that.
One example would be, would the feature require the watch to be worn while near? If so, what security measures would be taken to ensure the person wearing the watch is the owner before unlocking the device?
What happens if the owner falls asleep or becomes occupied and doesn't notice someone on their phone?
It'd be implemented similar to what's on the Pixel watch/phone where it'd require a passcode on the watch to be entered while being worn. It can timeout if the watch detects the wearer is sleeping. Same with the reverse, if the watch is being worn and the phone is authenticated with passcode or fingerprint, it should automatically unlock the watch. Would be a nice feature especially for using payments from the watch so you don't need to remember to enter the passcode as you're at the checkout counter.
