Either leave it on to charge and let it time out or turn it off first then charge the device.

Even if you turn it off then charge it it still does the same thing but I guess I just never let it run out and if I do and it dies I just wirlessley charge it until they fix the bug 🐛

Why are you running down to no charge as that is bad on the battery anyway, and why the need to turn off the device to charge it?  The device could be falsely provided moisture warning even though it physically does not exist when there is no battery power left. Never let the device get below 10% and see if that error ever pops up again. Also, since this only happen in a situation where the device is run down to zero charge. Also, the charging cable could be bad, or the phone was dropped while charging possibly bending the charging stem in the port of the device or cracking the stem. If this happens again, run a diagnostics in the device care app, it more than liely will show an error is the port is bad. If not, Samsung will first want a format of the device and then if still producing the errors, the device should be taken to a Samsung authorized repair shop. They may find what the issue it.
