Swipe Down from ANYWHERE (left and right)

I want to swipe down from ANYWHERE of the screen to show up the notification and the quick toggles, not only the notifications.

 As it is now, only swipe down at the status bar bring up the toggle (very annoying)

I fully agree with this. 1 day testing and I'm about to go back. If this feature stays i will never upgrade to 7.
