Search Bar Widget on Home Menu

I would love to see a way to access the search bar from the home menu. Perhaps by pressing the home page icons like on iOS, or by adding a widget that opens search. Concept art attached below.

We definitely need an instant way to access search. Having a searchbar in the dock would be preferred, but even allowing a swipe/double tap/etc would be acceptable. Anything, really
