I had really hoped to see the scrolling notification button be reduced to an icon.

The oversized scrolling button is unnecessary and takes up space. 

How about an icon and maybe even a left arrow to indicate swiping left from the notification panel to the quick panel.

Regarding the quick panel, please add the time and date at the top like the notification panel.
