SuggestionsThat is typically done automatically anyway. You can can set that up in your router for your device to use that 2.4ghz band (band splitting and creating two SSIDs). You will have to look that up to set that on your router model. Also there would be tradeoff to using the longer band, especially if gaming or downloading files and updates. Yes the 5ghz uses more power overall, but it is slight if measured just on basic use. But if downloading an update, the 5ghz would get it in seconds measured against minutes for the 2.4ghz, so in the end, the time used by the 2.4 setting would consume more power.
