Long Post!

I know it has been said multiple times by me and others. I have been asking for more custimizations since beta 2.

1.Pull down menu access

I want to be able tobresize the pull down menu's. Currently is it set to 50/50 notifications on the left and settings on the right side. Does anyone else like the idea to be able tobresize or change it to like 75/25, 66/33, or something like this? I just find myself not liking the pull down anywhere option, or accidently pulling down the settings when I more then often want to get my notifications. I just think this would be nice.

2. Active music feature

I personally dont get why the active music bubble is under settings. This should definitely be in the left hand notifications menu and I would like to be able to disable it as it feels kind of in the way. Just make it active when I am playing music or movies as a live notification. I would find it more useful. much like the weather notification.

Being able to remove more of the small bubble options from setting would also be nice. I would like a cleaner UI so would remove things i am less likely to use.

3.More power and battery settings

A. Charging visuals and confusion

So I know I have personally mentioned these items before. I would like for either the old UI of fast or super fast charging to return or a more informative charging state label. It is confusing when it switches between modes or atleast labels. If I am fast charging I want to know I am fast charging. Too many people also reported this miscommunication thinking their phone was not fast charging.

B. Bypass charging and options in settings

I want more settings to be able to see and control the feature to turn on ability to turn on bypass charging to help protect the battery when I leave my phone charging. Fore example overnight or just when I am using my device for extended periods of time. Like gaming or movie watching.

C. More battery information

Any more battery information would be great. Someone else brought this up but adding it to my list. Battery information such as charge cycles.

I would also like to be able to customize the way my battery icon looks and what information is shared. Other brought up not liking the new bubble and percentage. Maybe the shape of icon and something.

Is this something I have to add? Cause I would want it to just be part of the default install?

Goodlock is a Samsung product suite of modules to enhance the user experience. You can find it in the Galaxy store.
So, yes, you will have to install Goodlock and associated modules that you want.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and thoughtful feedback. We appreciate your enthusiasm for making One UI 7 even more customizable and user-friendly. Please find our response for your thoughtful feedback in return šŸ˜Š

1. Pull-Down Menu Customization

Your idea of resizing the notification and quick settings split is interesting and could offer greater flexibility for users. Accidental gestures can sometimes be frustrating, so having adjustable proportions could improve accessibility.

  • Note: This functionality already exists within QuickStar, a module in Good Lock, which allows users to customize the Quick Panel layout. Good Lock is a Samsung suite of customization modules available in the Galaxy Store, so you may want to explore it for more control over your UI.

2. Active Music Feature & UI Cleanup

Your point about moving the active music bubble to notifications rather than settings makes sense, especially for users who prefer a cleaner interface. Giving users the ability to enable or disable this feature for a more personalized experience is a great suggestion.

3. Power & Battery Settings Enhancements

Charging Visuals & Clarity:
We understand that some users find the current charging labels confusing. Bringing back clearer labels (e.g., Fast, Super Fast) could help users instantly recognize their charging state.

Bypass Charging Control:
This is a great idea for users who game or watch movies while charging. More granular controls to toggle bypass charging could improve battery longevity and thermal management.

Battery Information & Icon Customization:
Additional insights like charge cycles and more customizable battery icons would be helpful for users who want more transparency and control over their battery health and UI appearance.

Weā€™ll make sure your suggestions are shared with the relevant teams for consideration in future updates. Your continued feedback plays an important role in improving One UI, and we truly appreciate your participation in the Beta program.

If others in the community agree with these ideas, feel free to share your thoughts as well.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
