Live Notifications visuals takes precedence by default over regular notifications visuals which I know is a mistake. The primary reason I think this, and it is not an opinion, rather from the stated function of what settings and visuals can be user implemented in the Notifications settings (one example is Settings/Notifications/Status bar...) and then that of what Live notifications do when the Now Bar is active.

I truly get why for some people that live notification popping up in areas where they do not want them, and  a choice that must be given to the user on what they want seen. Else why, when considering that choice is given in the regular Notifications settings, but live notifications override those settings. So, if a user has a choice to use the visuals in notification status bar setting between icons, dots and nothing at all (None) and they choose none, then nothing should show there as they desire. Having another notification (Live notifications) setting override that takes away user agency on their devices. Also, this should not be a Good Lock/QuickStar add-on implemented change, this should be done in the system itself without gimping the function of the Now Bar that people have come to expect to funciton as advertised for them.

I myself do not use the Now Bar, I personally find no redeeming functionality from it other than it being eye candy and something to keep looking at most times, but that is me and to each their own as I am no judge to how people want to use or make their devices appear. I have set it on a few times, once for a week once and 4 days another, but I actually could not find it being any good as many apps I tied to it never showed up (I am fairly sure that may be at my end) but I do not care as I only wanted to see what it does.

In the end for these function, Notification settings  >  Live notifications.

When I looked at your screenshot, I put some thought into my set up. As I said, I do not use the now bar for reasons stated enough. My only experience with seeing live notifications when updated in late April UI 7 change, it defaulted to showing my media player in the status bar. I toggled that off in the Now Bar settings, so I get no more other than what I allow.

I tried Google sports, it never showed anything, but I acknowledge I did not set specifics of what to see. I also don't use ongoing apps that run on certain settings or timers which would work under live notifications. That is more than likely why I never saw anything, not that it does not work at all. I reflected on experiences to others and I gathered that as the reason why I don't get live notifications.

Now thinking about toggling off the media player disabled in the status bar, but it will still show in the lock screen & quick panel, why is not that same option on all live notification apps? It makes no sense. So from that understanding, I can see that limited to one feature being able to not show in the status bar while the other features cannot disabled, needs to be addressed.

I have turned off notifications in the status bar it's kind of useless now that it is limited to only the last 3. When you turn them off, live notifications should by default not be there either.1752420991312.jpg
