What they propose here makes sense on surface (except, of course, the shuffle button, which i guess was an accident) but it makes elements overlap in unappealing ways and introduces extra motion that goes in distracting directions or follows weird time curves so as correct as this seems, I would say the original just looks better
Original looks choppy the more you pay attention to it, it looks great considering its only a beta but this can't be the final. I'd argue having elements fading in and out from no where looks more unappealing that a fluid overlap that makes natural sense and happens for less than a second
