SuggestionsAndroid phones have had rounded corners and punch hole cameras since around 2018. 7 years later, virtually every android phone has those things. The fact that apps haven't been updated to accommodate the displays they run on shows that devs aren't going to support edge to edge until/unless they are forced to by manufacturers.

SuggestionsI see why it might make it hard to see on text-based apps, but that can easily be resolved by making status bar icons actual image-like icons instead of looking like something I can type on the keyboard, same size and everything.

SuggestionsHello,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and detailed suggestions! It’s great to see how much consideration you’ve given to the design and customization options in One UI. Let's break down some of your points:
1. Customizing Clock and Battery Sizes/Positions:
This is a fantastic idea. Allowing users to resize and reposition elements like the clock and battery icons could go a long way in making the interface feel more personal and functional. Your comparison to iOS is valid—it’s not about copying but about adapting what works and providing users with meaningful customization options.
2. Unused Screen Space:
You make a compelling point about the pinhole camera cutout not needing to dictate element placement, especially given the amount of blank space on the home screen and in many native apps. Optimizing this space for usability or offering placement flexibility could definitely enhance the overall look and feel.
3. Wider Battery Pill:
The new battery pill design has received mixed feedback, and your preference for a slightly wider version with improved proportions is a valuable suggestion. It’s all about finding a balance that appeals to a broad range of users.
4. More Customization Options:
As you mentioned, offering more ways to customize the UI could address many of these concerns. Whether it’s through new settings or modules in Good Lock, giving users more control over the look and feel of their devices is always a win.
As always, thank you for your active participation in Beta program.
Best regards,
One UI Beta Team
