SuggestionsWe're talking about an operating system in which devices have had hole-punch cameras and edge-to-edge displays for close to a decade, yet wide swaths of developers refuse to update their apps to even display properly on the devices they run on.

Suggestions1) devs have a financial incentive to prioritize iOS. Apple devices make up the majority of US market share, and iOS apps are simply more lucrative... partly due to the larger user base, and partly due to limitations of the walled garden, such as the inability to sideload... meaning paid iOS apps aren't getting pirated to the degree they are on Android.
2) The lineup of devices is simply too broad for any dev to keep up with. Not even considering other OEMs, Samsung's lineup of devices is so broad that they (clearly) struggle to develop internally for everything that isn't from current year.
I'd love to see some kind of program to give incentives to devs, but I don't know what that would look like, short of giving devs kickbacks for optimizing the S series.

SuggestionsThey own Google and don't have as many phones as Samsung. But Samsung should at least do something for the Flagship Line Up.

SuggestionsHello,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
The idea of integrating the Galaxy Store into the Play Store with a dedicated “Galaxy” section is an interesting approach to reducing fragmentation and improving app optimization for Samsung devices.
Samsung continues to explore ways to enhance the developer ecosystem while maintaining unique Galaxy-exclusive features and optimizations. A closer collaboration with Google, as you mentioned, could open doors for better app experiences, improved visibility for developers, and potential incentives to drive innovation.
While we can’t confirm any changes at this time, we appreciate suggestions that encourage efficiency and a more seamless experience. We’ll share your feedback with the relevant teams, and if others in the community feel the same way, we encourage you to join the discussion!
Thanks again for your insights and for helping shape the future of One UI.
Regards,
One UI Beta Team
