Feature Request:
The current implementation of Exercise Mode on the Watch Ultra requires phone connectivity to execute user-defined settings. This limits functionality for users who train without their phone.
As shown in the attached screenshot, Exercise Mode includes a range of customizable actionsโsuch as Do Not Disturb, media volume adjustments, charging preferences, and wake gestures. These settings should be stored and executed locally on the watch as watch-specific mode settings, independent of the phone.
The expectation is not for the watch to execute phone-based commands when disconnected, but rather to apply its own stored configuration when an exercise is initiated via the Action Button. Upon reconnection, phone-specific actions could resume if applicable.
This enhancement would significantly improve usability and align with the watchโs intended autonomy for people who train with the watch only.
