I just don't understand the logic behind making the battery pill shorter and longer. You think the outrage from Ui8 was bad, it is only going to get much louder when this abomination drops. 

Samsung has forgotten who their base are for their devices, they tend to skew older. They tend to wear READING GLASSES. Yes, you can remove the UGLY Pill and just have percentage. 

For the sake of all of us who have to deal with these complaints in the members app, rethink this design and go back to the drawing board and respect your customers, and not the 
20- 30 something who designed this hideous pill!

The battery icon is more similar to the original battery icon before One UI 7 was finalized a few months after the phone released, a lot of people actually liked the original icon size before we got the large bubble one that 7 and 8 have. This version brings it back(not sure if it matches the og exactly but it looks close)

Also not sure why your assumption is that samsung users lean older or use reading glasses is the majority, thats just a generalization, I doubt you actually know the average age of samsung users.
