Allow users to customise WiFi status bar indicator

The status bar icons look much better on 8.5 compared to 7.0 and 8.0, however it would be great if we could remove the WiFi 5/6/7 indicator and arrows and make them optional. It would look much cleaner and at the same time allow users who want to see this information to keep it. Myself I find this information totally useless and simply a visual clutter.

I think I just saw something on Good Lock that did just that. I'll have to go back and see if I can find it again.
