Allow a choice to display battery status without the having the pill background. The option to just display the battery percentage where numbers on a pblack blackgeound numeric percent and white background without the pill in the background is easier to see. Trying to view the battery percentage over a pill background can be difficult to read. Often during the day the numbers are split with one digit on bright white and the other digit has a different shade. The very small space allotted for the battery pill makes it difficult for the pilll to be a usable guide.

I often have to use a third party battery widget to clearly see my actual percentage after opening the home screen.

Thank you.

No since One UI 7 QuickStar didn't work if you turned on just show percentage the whole thing would disappear hopefully it does get fixed at some point though as I've always liked just having the percentage IMO it looked much cleaner than having an icon

This was the worst part of Ui7, it is awfully UGLY and unreadable for people of a certain age.

When you have developers in their 20's this is what you end up with for a user base that tends to skew older.

As soon as QuickStar is updated for Ui8, I will be taking that abomination off my status bar.

I found a great battery widget that I love, Battery Widget Reborn. It allows me to put the widget on my homescreen, lockscreen and AOD. It also has a number that can be in your status bar in the notification area. When running it sits in your notification shade that also shows the temperature of your device!

Hi I added the widget and I do like this workaround. However, I cannot put it in the very center of the screen like you have shown. I can move it but it will go off center. How did you get it to stay in the center of the screen?
