I live in a house with roommates and their wifi-connected speakers and tv's show up in the swipe down "Media Output" list. I cannot find these wifi devices listed anywhere else in any systems settings of Smart Things, Wifi, etc, therefore I am unable to delete them. How can I remove these so I don't accidentally connect to their devices? I know for a fact they are strictly wifi devices because when I disconnect from the wifi, they disappear from that list This has been a constant annoyance for over a year. There has got to be a way to stop these from showing up all the time.

What I would do, is change the name on your devices to something that's completely absurd (ie 1ecivedym, 2ecivedym, reading backwards mydevice1, mydevice2) that you would never have any doubt that you were clicking on the proper device.

The problem isn't the name of them. The problem is that I cannot remove them from the list in the first place.

I realize that, but there's no way to remove them from the media output. I gave you an alternative to make sure that you don't try to connect to one of the other devices.

Would it be possible for you to get your own router and hook it up to the internet? That way you would have your own Wi-Fi signal and you could password protected so no one else can use your Wi-Fi.
