Hello,

I was able to reset my PIN by clicking the "forgot password" option after restarting my phone. PIN was reset without any issues. However, I cannot actually go into the secure folder to retrieve the files in it. My phone keeps asking to confirm secure folder password. I entered the passed which seems to be more than 4 characters and it still will not allow me in the actual folder. Only says incorrect password. Try again over and over again. I tried the clear data and cache option and that did not work for me. I just want access to my files in the secure folder. I have not any issues in the past. can any one help?

It sounds like you're in a frustrating situation trying to access your secure folder on your phone. Here are a few suggestions that may help:

  • Double check that you are entering the correct secure folder password. Since it is more than 4 characters, it can be easy to mix up the order. Try entering it slowly and carefully.
  • If you have fingerprint or face unlock set up for the secure folder, try using that instead of entering the password. Sometimes biometrics can bypass a password issue.
  • Try restarting your phone again and see if it prompts you to re-enter the secure folder password. Sometimes a reboot can reset things.
  • Check if you have any password manager apps or authentication apps that may have saved the old password. Update them with the new password.
  • As a last resort, you may need to reset the secure folder entirely. This would wipe the folder contents though. Back up anything important first if possible.
  • Contact your phone manufacturer for further troubleshooting. There may be a technical issue they can help resolve.

I know it's not ideal to lose access to important files and data. But don't give up yet. With some systematic troubleshooting, you should hopefully find a way to regain access to your secure folder. Let me know if any of these suggestions help or if you have any other questions!

I'm aware of what I said. I'm aware it is different. I've never had an issue before this and my password to enter my folder has not changed. It's a different variation of my PIN password. Have you had this issue before? If not thanks for responding I appreciate it.
