I must say coming on here to sadly see everyone in disagreeance with the new call recording feature. The past apps that claimed to record both sides of a phone call always fell short and flat on their faces.
Now, Samsung has handed us an absolute game leveler with greedy corporations and obstinate conversations that have devolved into screaming matches. Now, that's ALL changed. NOW.... Samsung has put into our hands the ability to hold these crooked corporations to. Their. Very. Word. This miraculous tool turned an obstinate Equifax at disputing a soft inquiry because you know it doesn't affect my credit, despite it being fraud and a law enforcement agent wanted it done to see what dominoes would fall after. They continued to refuse, then I hit the button!
Equifax: Sir, you're not allowed to record this conversation.
Me: Excuse me? I've already verified who I am to you so what are you going to do? Sue me for violating my own privacy? Go right ahead, I'd love to see that judge's face. Now I AM going to record this call to ENSURE you do as I ask in disputing this soft inquiry that was done fraudulently and asked of me to dispute by a law enforcement agency. Despite the fact of me being told to do this, it's still fraud; I by right can dispute soft inquiries and I'm asking it to be done. This call is being recorded so you can do as I request, or you can answer to the CFPB come tomorrow and there will be zero doubt as to WHO SAID WHAT.
Equifax: You're dispute has been entered and you will hear back on its results in 30 days. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
Me: A shame there isn't, now that I have a way to hold Equifax accountable for their actions. You have a nice day now and remember this next time asks you to dispute wrong information.

IF ONLY, this existed for the 8 phone calls for AT&T to still screw up cutting service off at the end of the month and illegally billed me an extra month of service when I had moved out even the end of the service billing month ended before the extra one they tried to bill me! This tool is a godsend for us people, why you do not see this and how it can put these petty, greedy, and deceitful corporations in their place! Samsung, thank you! And thank you for being a quality company to put this out. You obviously aren't afraid of it being used against you because you stand behind your product and word; you don't have to worry like AT&T, Spectrum, and the credit bureaus are now starting to. Give this to enough people, and watch their "profits" take a hit because all of a sudden it's become A LOT harder for them to steal from their customers.
I will never disable this service and please do not listen to these short sighted others. There will be the day they kick themselves for disabling this feature.
You must have made the mistake of buying your Samsung through a shady 3rd party dealer i.e. Spectrum, AT&T, Verizon, etc. Next time, learn your lesson and buy one that doesn't come preloaded with Facebook. Oh the options and features you paid for but will never have because they know how to run your phone better than Samsung. My Galaxy is unchained and I've had zero issue nor once "accidentally" recorded a call (because my Galaxy actually works because it doesn't have OEM making it seem like my device is dying so I have to frantically buy a new one. I hope you don't have an Acer computer because I've got some bad news for you...
