Thats up to the developer of the theme. For example I have had a theme updated for 3 versions of OneUI but this version i could download it but says some parts are not compatible. Some developers I have been able to use them since version 5.

It's not a bug 😂, the creators just need to update their themes and wallpapers for one ui7

A few of my themes had updates available after I updated to One UI7, some weren't compatible

Its a bug. There is zero reason at least the wallpaper and icons can't still work unless Samsung is deliberately messing with aspects of the theme process (yet nothing else visible changes?). At the very least themes, particularly purchased themes, need to be fully owned by the buyer so they can have the code and wallpaper and icon pack they bought vs hide that info from buyers.

Normally they just get deleted and you lose them if this is the case. I've never seen incompatible on any of them.

If they are not compatible and you search for them they won't appear. If you already have them in your purchases it'll show it and when you download them it'll say incompatible. When the version they are made is certain versions old it will not let you download them and marked incompatible as they will often cause UI bugs.

Any chance they could still update them?

Yeah, this is nonsense. Before this update, it would warn you that the old themes might not work, but they all did no problem. Now it doesn't want to let you at all? Too bad, you're not applying it cause we said so (even though it probably would still work). A change that nobody asked for, and is completely unnecessary.

Agree though sometimes a lock screen vs a wallpaper wouldn't work for, but I would have the other. Nothing fundamental about themes for the user has changed so why are themes now incompatible? What is not aligning if there is a wallpaper & lock screen & icons. Just a apply them! At the very least purchased themes should be completely downloadable so the buyer can extract and use the components they bought like wallpaper or icon pack. Otherwise they need to rename "buying/purchasing" to RENTING.
