As a security professional,
I use Secure Folder as a sandbox containment environment for hostile or high-risk applications such as Facebook and Messenger. This allows me to isolate aggressive cross-app surveillance and behavioral inference into a controlled environment where those apps cannot scrape data from personal documents, communications, or other applications on the device. Until recently, Secure Folder allowed the use of Circle to Search. In the latest One UI version, this capability has been removed entirely. While I understand that this may be a policy decision motivated by privacy concerns, removing the feature outrightโ€”without even offering an opt-inโ€”represents a failure in policy and user choice. Secure Folder is explicitly used by advanced and security-conscious users who understand tradeoffs and should be trusted to make informed decisions about acceptable risk. We own these devices and are capable of making adult decisions regarding their use. Samsung absolutely could have implemented this correctly.
A reasonable and secure approach would have been to present a clear warning and allow the user to decide, for example:

โ€œโš ๏ธ Allow screen analysis tools (Circle to Search, Assistant) inside Secure Folder. This may allow content to be analyzed by system services. Proceed?โ€
One toggle. One warning. Clear consent.

An additional possibilities to add a red ring around the perimeter of the screen during usage rewarning users that using the circle to search information will leave privacy folder.

Removing a previously working feature without an opt-in alternative is a regression that unnecessarily limits power users and undermines legitimate security workflows. Please restore Circle to Search functionality in Secure Folder with an explicit, informed opt-in option.
Thank you.

You would have to download a different launcher. There are several very good ones available from Google Play store.

I havent thought to use the secure filter as a sand box, I've always seen it as no way in but I guess it could also be a no way out too. Definitely need to try this, but id have to clear it out too and dedicate it to that
