Samsung Apps and ServicesFor about 3 weeks, the Samsung internet browser has been showing search results for places that are far away from me instead of the ones that are nearby. For example, if I search for Mcdonald's, it'll show me a location 30 miles away when there is literally ine right across the street. I don't know what caused this to start happening, but I have checked all location and permissions settings, I think.
This doesn't happen when using the Chrome app. In the Samsung internet browser app it has the option to change the "choose area" and below another option that says "use precise location" but when I click that it says " Can't update your location.... with a "learn more" link. When I try to follow the instructions and click on the lock icon next to the address bar, the instructions don't match up with what I see. I only see a list that says "privacy info" and shows how many ads were blocked and cookies info, etc. Google Maps has no problem tracking my precise location
Is there a way to fix this? I was gonna clear the cache/data or reinstall, but I don't wanna lose all of my bookmarks š
Please help!

Samsung Apps and ServicesClearing your cache and data should not cause loss of your bookmarks, as that's not the data it deletes. Clear the cache first and see if that improves the situation. If it does not, then you will have to clear the data. Basically, the data that gets cleared is the settings. I do not see a way to export the bookmarks, but you can sync (I think that setting is on by default) with the Samsung cloud, so they should remain.
