Samsung Apps and ServicesHas anyone else had this issue with Samsung Music? You pause a song, tap the previous track button to restart it, then leave the app. But when you come back and hit play, the song starts where you paused it instead of starting over.
If there is a solution, let me know. I rather not find another mp3 app.

Samsung Apps and ServicesIn any mp3 player you would hit the start over when you intend to listen to it, not before. So you would exit the player and the song stops where it is. You reopen the player and tap the play button, *then* you hit the back button to start from the beginning.
What's the big deal if you choose another mp3 player? They are all the same, your music and play lists would transfer to any new player as they are not contained within the music player, they are in your music folder in the file manager.

Samsung Apps and ServicesIn the past years that is what I have done and it has worked like that before. This recent issues has been happening probably the past few weeks.
Pause song, hit previous button, leave app, play again with the song started over.
I prefer not to choose another mp3 player because there are no ads compared to the new ones these days and I find Samsung music is the easiest and most simple to navigate through.

Samsung Apps and ServicesWell, I just tried what you are trying to do with my Samsung Music player, and it worked just fine for me. Everything on my phone is up to date. Something may be interfering with your app. Have you cleared the app's cache? The phone's cache? Even just rebooted the phone?

Samsung Apps and ServicesI have cleared the cache, both phone and app, restarted the phone, and everything is up to date, but I still get the same problem.
