Samsung Apps and ServicesI have used Samsung products for years, Smart Watches, Tablets, Phones, Earphones. I currently have the Tab s10 ultra, s25 Ultra and a newly purchased Watch Ultra.
One thing that has been bugging me for a while is as an ambulant wheelchair user (A wheelchair that can walk) (short distances) It is really hard to accurately collect information like pushes!
It would be amazing one day to see Samsung invest in disability tracking. I frequently see posts where the only real recommendation for wheelchair user features is Apple. I hate apple but it is essentially my only option for wheelchair user specific tracking. (not planning a switch any time soon!)
An example of some features would be:
General features:
- "pushes" option instead of steps for full time wheelchair users
- "Pushes" and Steps detection for Ambulatory wheelchair users (some of us want to know both!)
Sport Specific Features:
- A Wheelchair "run" feature that better tracks pushes, speed etc more or less remove Asymetry and advanced run features and replace what can be replaced to suit for a push in a wheelchair.
- Other wheelchair Sports modes. For example my sport of wheelchair basketball, there are metrics that I believe would be trackable in a sports watch, like the power of a push (How quickly each push movement happens) , Stopping (deceleration) time, General speed tracking. This feature would work across various sports like wheelchair basketball, Wheelchair rugby & Rugby league, Wheelchair tennis.. etc.
- Ski Erg tracker - One cardio machine that proves accessible in a gym is ski erg machines! would be great to have a tracking option for this (and it would benefit general gym goers)
- Handcycle Tracking
I do think every company could do more to make their products more accessible. It gives off the thought process of companies that "wheelchair users don't exercise" Which just is not the case! Runners would outrage if a fitness app did not track runs, Its the same principle for wheelchair users!
Happy to be reached out to for a more in depth discussion.

Samsung Apps and ServicesSend your suggestion via the feedback link directly to the developers. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692 because pushes should be counted for non-wheelchair users, too (shopping carts, strollers, etc.), because steps are not counted in those instances either, because there is no arm movement.
