Please include guests mode to ui 7 or multiuser feature other small phone have it talk less of High cost phone. I hear the feature is included in iPad thanks
2) The idea behind the search bar at the bottom is one-handed use without shifting your hand upward. There is unfortunately no way to reverse this on Samsung's default launcher, but you can use a third party launcher like Nova: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher
to adjust the home screen and app drawer to your liking.
3) The changes to the notification panel and quick panel can be reversed by - navigating to quick settings by pulling down from the top right - tapping the pencil icon - tapping Panel Settings - Choosing Together
I called my provider they said it would void the warranty to get rid of this update. I think we should sue, since now i will need to buy a new phone. And it sure as **bleep** will not be a. Samsung!
I'm a happy galaxy user and not a regular here, but the UI 7 got me so frustrated that I signed in just to post something.
The reason I bought a Samsung is precisely because I don't want an iPhone, but through the years Samsung has shown that no original ideals are allowed. Must always copy apple.
This is not new. Back when the headphone jack was removed we could already see this trend, but now One UI 7 went another step towards making galaxies more iPhonyes
The new UI is hideous. Childish. It changed my professional looking phone into a children's toy.
Big, brilliant round buttons where nicely crafted one used to be. Like the volume bars and it's totally unnecessary reshaping.
The top bar seems to have already sparked controversy, mostly because it broke something that was already golden standard. So let's see:
- before: I push down, there's a small list of priorities access that I've already configured. Below are my recent notifications. Perfect!
-now: just do what iPhone is doing. If they have left and right swaps, let's do that. Doesn't matter that it's more convoluted than what we already have, let's just do it.
Hard to explain my frustration, but ok. Complaining without providing an suggestion is pointless, so here it goes:
- please! Make the updater open an installation wizard where we can choose what to change. Every time there's an update we have to separate a day in our calendars to reconfigure our phones back to what they were, so please give us the option to accept the changes upon installation. If that's too much of a problem, please make the downgrade possible.
I want my UI6 back, but it's impossible. I know that the experts have a way to change most of this complains back, but that's not the point! It shouldn't be necessary to use hours of my small live span to reconfigure something that was already perfect.
100% agree. If I wanted an iphone I would buy an iphone. I am done with samsung once this phone is paid off unless they give us the option to opt out of these changes. I don't want any of this and it is all driving me crazy.
Just finished getting used to how everything was laid out for the operating system ( pull down screen for settings ) and then they changed everything- and not for the better. I don't like it. It also changed the appearance of some app icons on the main screen - don't like it. If I wanted a different icon I would've found one I wanted and changed it myself.
Still haven't changed the volume settings and it should be changed. I do not want my text message notifications turned down just because I didn't want to watch a video at full volume. Samsung please put things back to how they were, fix the combined volume of notifications/video volume to two separate volume adjustments.
