Considering it is a major OS update, it will eventually install itself if you delay/postpone repeatedly.

My family and I absolutely hate this new update. Why does my phone layout look like a mix between and Google phone and an iPhone? If I wanted either one of those phones, I clearly wouldn't have bought a Samsung! I appreciated Samsung for it's uniqueness. It also changed my settings and I had to figure out how to change them back! Also why can't I just check my notifications by swiping down from the top of the phone? Why do I have to swipe down from the left corner? It's confusing and very disappointing. If it ain't broke DON'T fix it! @Samsung

You should be able to swipe down anywhere on the home screen to bring down notifications. Long press on the home screen and go to settings. The switch is toward the bottom.

I don't remember the last time I swiped down from the top of my home screen, unless on I was in an app.
